I often share this quote with Our Members . . .

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.

Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!”

Mike, I recently bought into your back yard growing system and I’ve been saving all your emails to reference later. Being a newbie, would you be able to connect me with a local grower who uses your system? I wish I could come to you but not practical. I’m so excited about starting my own business!

      Connie,

I can’t connect you but if you do the $7 trial of our members area you will meet others in your area. Just ask and they will raise their hands. Membership is open right now. http://backyardgrowers.com/join

Mike-can you please suggest a different option for a table top juniper. I like the shape of it , for next to my Japanese maple. But I can’t find it anywhere. I don’t really want to do a low- lying carpet variety. What about a fire chief arborvitae?
    Thank you

      Dawn,

Fire chief arborviate and rheingold arborvitae are basically the same plant, they look identical. Either should work for you.

Hi Mike my name is Andrew Ridley and I was wondering what would happen if you mix mulch, garden soil, cow manure used coffee grounds, egg shells, and a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water? I used a 20oz. Spray bottle and mixed 1/3 apple cider vinegar and the rest was water. I did it to keep out the pests and the other animals out go the garden because I am growing vegetables. And now it looks like I have mushrooms growing along with the other plants. Also if they are mushrooms are they edible? P.S. sorry this comment is so long Andrew Ridley

Hi Mike, I have a question about crepe myrtle. They say they are hardy in our zone 6 here in northern WV but we have had no luck. They always die back in winter and come back from the root with no chance to develop onto trees. Have you had much experience with them and what is the hardiest for our area? We see them grow beautifully in Maryland which is not much further from us. Would love to get some into trees. Thank you.

      Carol,

I don’t know much about them, just don’t survive at all here in northern Ohio.

      Don,

That product was actually invented by one of our members and it has been extremely popular. You can’t really order through me for international shipping. Contact John here, https://www.fertileeze.com/ and tell him that I sent you.
