such a pleasure to see two happy healthy donkeys enjoying life! in supporting peaceful valley donkey rescue I’ve seen first hand how these beautiful creatures have been abused and tortured. sharing the antics and joy with all of us gives me hope that those donkeys will one day be as lucky as Fergus and Finnegan.

    Hi Mike,

I discovered your site probably at least a couple or so years ago, and enjoy your advice, photos, and other readers of your newsletters, comments, etc., too. Your 4-legged mini’s are so cute. They remind me of the farm animals that my aunt used to have, goats, sheep, and geese. I live in northern CT on land that was originally my great-grandparents farm which came down through my grandmother and an aunt, my mom’s twin, to me. Many years ago when I was a lot younger than now, I moved to her home for several years, after she’d lost her first husband, (then I married, moved away. She and I had similar interests, and she was an avid gardener of flowers, shrubs, trees, fruits and vegetables, and a wonderful cook of all kinds, too. Most of the shrubs, trees and perennials that she planted so many years ago still have survived these many years, but also undesirable weeds like Poison Ivy, Oriental Bittersweet, Oriental bamboo, etc., have made it their home, too, which I constantly battle all the time. No matter where I look on this property, I see her handiwork. Some of the Hostas, Peonies, and ferns, and possibly other plants date back close to one hundred years ago. Unfortunately, some of the invasive plants have been taking over for quite a number of years. My aunt battled them, and so do I.
