Stunning 10″ long flower spikes make this plant super attractive to both butterflies and humans! This beautiful plant is covered with blooms in mid summer and it remains in bloom for several weeks.

This plant is also a great pollinator and attracts Humming Birds like crazy. Hardy in zones 5 through 10. This plant grows to a height of 3’6″ to 5′ but can responds well to pruning and you should cut it back in the fall so it can fill out even better the following spring.

Butterfly Bushes in general are very easy to propagate in the Summer from Softwood Cuttings. However, Prince Charming is a patented plant. It is part of the MONARCH® Collection. That means that it is against the law for you and I to propagate it.

For a detailed explanation of what all of that means I wrote about that on the Lavender Cupcake Butterfly Bush Page.

Prince Charming loves full sun, maybe a little shade and it is very much Deer Resistant!

People are going to ask, “Mike, where can I buy this beautiful plant? Can I order one from you?”

No, I do not ship any plants and whether or not you can find it locally or not I really don’t know. But I will let you in on a little secret. We have a Members Area and plants like this are constantly being offered by sale by our members at prices that you just won’t believe. Prices for plants in the Members Area typically run from 95 cents for rooted cuttings and $2.00, $2.50 and $3.00 for liners. Things like really rare Japanese maples go for $10.00 to $20 each.

A liner is a rooted cutting that has been grown out for one full growing season.

Our Membership is pricey because it’s worth it. We have members that have been in there for years and years and they absolutely love it. And as of this writing we are offering a Test Drive of the Members Area for just $7.00 for 30 days, but we only accept new members a few times a year.

Questions, comments, mean things to say? Post them below and I will respond.

Until then, by any and all means, stay inspired!
