    Mike,
I’m in the low country, SC with a field of weeds and Bermuda grass. I’m hardscaping to solve flood issues and want to install sod up against the house as well as a stone patio (with stone dust) I was thinking fabric under stones + stone dust + stones…, but nothing under sod and a metal strip barrier between sod and weeds/Bermuda grass.

Wow, that’s a great interview! I need to buy some of the spray heads from you guys. I probably need 6 to expand my beds this summer. How do I facilitate that purchase? Also is the members area open to join?

    Hi Mike

Can you suggest several Japanese maples that are good in shade? I know most of them like partial shade but there is one bit of my garden that doesn’t get much sun and I’ll like to plant a few varieties there. Any suggestions will be welcome. I’m thinking Beni Schichihenge, some red varieties,?
    Thank you.

      Alexis,

If you put any Japanese maple that has color in the shade it will lose that color in a matter of weeks and turn solid green. Even the variegated ones will almost completely lose the variegation. Maybe something like Waterfall or Virdis that are completely green.
